Have you noticed that days are getting shorter and the weather has been definitely much cooler recently? Yep, the first few weeks of Fall have gone by and I can already feel it’s going to be a busy season! Here are the habits I’ll adopt this season to make the most of it…
1. Plan meals ahead of time
This is such a time saving tip, it’s essential to be organized with meals, especially when you’re stressed for time. I love to grocery shop on Sundays and get a few of the essentials ready so I’m not stuck going back to buy more food during the week.
Try to cook a large amount of a multipurpose ingredient in order to make lunches easy. This can be rice, a meat roast or veggies. Once it’s cooked, use this ingredient by mixing it to easy-to-prep food you have on hand. For example, I cooked a Pork Roast the other day and made some fried rice with the leftovers. It was super yummy!
2. Make a workout schedule
Set some time in your calendar for a workout. Whether it’s a fitness video, a quick run, a spinning class or a walk in the park – setting it in your calendar will make you accountable for it. You always show up to your meetings with others, why wouldn’t you show up for a meeting with yourself? Better yet, find a friend that wants to join you!
3. Plan some activities you’ll look forward to
The days are getting shorter and this can definitely affect your mood at work. Organizing some activities will make the week go by faster and give you something to look forward to.
To finish off, here are some of the activities I’m already VERY excited about :
- My birthday – I’ll turn 25 this year!
- Thanksgiving Dinner
- A Friendsgiving Dinner
- Hiking looking at all the orangy-red autumn leaves
- The next James Bond movie and the final Hunger Games!
What are you excited about this Fall?
